Im Rahmen dieser Preisverleihung ehrt die San Diego Film Critics Society die besten Filme des Vorjahres.
Der Western The Power of the Dog wurde als bester Film ausgezeichnet.
Darstellerpreise gingen an Nicolas Cage, Caitriona Balfe, Penelope Cruz, Jason Isaacs und Ruth Negga.
